More time. More comfort. Less hassle.
Want to get to dozens of great dive sites inside 30 minutes,
and enjoy more dive time? Then choose a Daly’s charter
aboard “Triple D." This ultra-comfortable, fast
and stable 30' boat is powered by twin outboard Mercury gasoline
motors, so you won't have to endure diesel fumes. She runs fast
and clean to allow you more time underwater—and ladies,
a full head and freshwater rinse stations aboard!
Daly’s charters are two-location trips that include:
• USCG-licensed Captain • Services of guide/divemaster
• Air (two 80cf tanks per guest) • Weights
• Fruit juices and water
• Iced coolers for your drinks and snacks (no alcohol
or glass, please).
Charter guests need only bring their scuba gear (which can
be rented) and towels.
Because we never book more than half the boat’s approved
capacity, “Triple D” provides ample space for
our guests and their gear. This allows divers and snorkelers
greater comfort, safety and individual attention from our
top-notch crew.
We also offer generous discounts for multi-trip packages.
If you love to dive, there’s no better way to make more
bubbles for your buck!

Underwater Photography/Videography
Diving with Daly’s is always memorable, but why not
take your memories home on film? Impress your friends and
family with photos of your first ocean dive or a video
of your open water certification dives (available on Saturday
dives only, advance notice required, please).
Diving Do’s & Don’ts
Daly’s expects divers to maintain their skills and knowledge
through practice and continuing education. If it’s more
than a year since your last scuba dive, our insurers require
that you make your first dive with a divemaster or guide.
The most important document on your dive vacation is your
certification card. Don’t leave home
without it!
Please also know and respect your tolerance for the seas.
Beginners, in particular, are advised to consult with a pharmacist
or doctor if they anticipate suffering from motion sickness.
Dive Sites
The Gulf of Mexico off Port St. Joe and Mexico Beach is plentiful
with wrecks and artificial reefs, all with abundant sea life.
With dive sites to delight the beginner and challenge the
experienced, a few of our preferred sites are noted.
SS Vamar
Always included in Daly’s charters, the wreck of the
SS Vamar has recently been
given status as the 9th of Florida’s Underwater
Archaeological Preserves. During her career at sea, the
Vamar’s most notable voyage was as the Eleanor Bolling
when she accompanied Rear-Admiral Richard E. Byrd on his first
Antarctic expedition. The subject of an upcoming edition of
the History Channel’s Deep Sea Detectives, information
and memorabilia relating to the SS Vamar and Admiral Byrd’s
expedition are on display at Daly’s as Friends of Vamar
seek a permanent home. Home to sea turtles, octopus, and abundant
reef fish. The subject of a recent episode of Deep
Sea Detectives.
Air Force Tower
Just as the name indicates, this wreck is of a metal radio
tower that was lost in a storm and has become a favourite
dive site. Lying on its side, the Tower rests at 72’
but rises to just 15’ below the surface. Home to sea
turtles, barracuda, sharks and other pelagics
Kaiser
Visible remains of this wooden tugboat include the boiler
and heavy machinery which lie in 45-feet of water. Sunk in
1932, it is home to Queen Angels, black snapper and sea turtles.
Barrier Dunes Barge
In the late 1980s, a 170’ barge sank less than a mile
off the Gulf side of Cape San Blas. Largely intact, the barge
rests in 35-feet of water. Visible on one side of the wreck
are the exposed remains of an old forest. Home to sea turtles,
sharks (one bull shark in particular), myriads of bait fish.
